DUTIES

  • Planning and delivering engaging English lessons that caters to needs and interest of young learners 
  • Creating a stimulating learning environment that foster language development for young learners
  • Facilitate student learning in accordance with the program curriculum 
  • Instruct the set curriculum and prepare in advance all materials and lessons plan
  • Create a positive learning environment that is conducive to learning and apply new teaching methods 
  • Assessing students’ language proficiency and progress to provide feedback and support for their learning
  • Administer, mark, upload and analyze summative assessment 
  • Report on student progress by completing termly report cards for each student 
  • Create a newsletter and or other communication materials for parents weekly
  • Collaborating with parents, colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to children’s language development 
  • Introducing cultural elements and promoting global awareness in the classroom to enhance students’ understanding of the world 
  • Attend all school functions, public seminars and other professional development activities 
  • Other reasonable tasks requested by the school management 

REQUIREMENTS

  • A bachelor's degree in education/IFL or a related field TESOL certification, with a teaching certification or license are required such as IELTS/TOFEL.
  • At least 2 years experiences in teaching secondary school-aged children, preferably in an international school setting.
  • Knowledge of the Secondary school curriculum and teaching methodologies, including differentiated instruction and assessment practices.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity to work with students from various backgrounds.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaboration and teamwork skills to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for teaching and supporting the holistic development of young learners.
